I am the only person who uses my computer and I find the
logon screen totally unnecessary and a pain in the butt.
Do I really need this? Can I get rid of it period? How
would this affect Outlook Express? I have express set up
to receive mail from my website. Are identities in
Outlook Express the same as my Windows logon ID? I just
want to turn my computer on and let it boot up straight to
my desktop screen. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Rodney,

Type CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2 at Start >> Run and press enter. Under the "User" tab, uncheck the box
"Users must enter a
username...." and hit apply. Supply the username and password under which you want your computer to
Auto-logon everytime and OK your way out.
