OS is winxp pro.
After installing swannsmart IIx Internal modem from
supplied software disk and querying the modem I get the
response that the port is unable to open, there are no
visible hardware conflicts in the device manager,
renaming the port doesn't change the situation I have
downloaded and tried the driver from the website to no
avail.
The modem log states, opening modem device failed with
error 000005aa
Have also tried microsoft website and had no luck with
the suggested fixes I could find, searched the net also
but am unable to find a solution.
Was hopeing that a passionate problem solver could
please ease my frustration!
Where do i go from here?
