I need to replace my motherboard.
My hard drive was preinstalled with xp pro. How does one
do a reinstall without the cd.
Thanks,
james

Be very very careful.
Unless the new motherboard is identical to the old one, or very close
to it, your computer may not operate properly and in fact may not boot
at all.
If you do not have a Windows XP then you may have a very difficult
problem to overcome, as a "repair install", which requires a full
Windows XP CD, is normally required when replacing the motherboard
with a different make and/or model.
See http://michaelstevenstech.com/moving_xp.html for information on
motherboard changes and repair installs.
Good luck
