dvd problems

I bought a hp pavilion computer,I took my cd and dvd rom
out so I can put them in my new computer. Well every sense
my dvd does not work in no computers. I can install stuff
off it but when I put in a dvd moie it tells me to insert
disc. Its like I don't have a dics in it please help me

In order to play a DVD you MUST have the correct codecs installed first. On
the old PC you probably had either WinDVD or PowerDVD.... that program must
be installed on the new PC.
