View Full Version : Standby Trouble

Hi
I have a problem. The problem is that, when I try to get
the computer into standby.
It just starts with a black screen. But the computer is
still on, I can se that on these lamps. But when I try to
get it out of this black screen, it doesn't respond. So I
guess the computer crashes somewhere in middle of the
standby. So then I have to restart the computer by
holding the power button down in 5 sec. And start it up
again, to give it another shot. But the trouble is still
here. The computer is brand new.
Hp pavilion ze5344ea
Running Windows XP pro
What do I have to do, to eliminate this trouble?

As its brand new I'd actually speak to the supplier and ask them to fix the
faulty goods you've been supplied with.
Theres no end of things that can cause this, bad bios settings, bad drivers,
something not quite set-up right and with these sorts of computers its very
difficult to pinpoint the exact problem because they tend to customise the
behaviour of their systems away from the "standards".

I would assume that the machine came with a warranty, did it not? Why are
you posting here instead of utilising it?
