I have tried to install an HP 960C printer onto a computer that I just reimaged with XP. It will recognized the new hardware but will not install it without a driver. I have downloaded the latest driver for the printer from hp and the driver will not ins
tall. I get a "Printer Driver was not installed. Operation could not be completed error. What action do I need to take to set up my printer correctly?

You have two choices in installing the 960C printer. You can use the driver
on the Windows XP distribution CD or the driver from the HP web site. For
either, start by deleting any driver that might now be installed for the
printer. Next, read the instructions.

If you go with the HP driver from the web site, make sure it is the driver
for use with XP that you download.
Let us know.
