scanners

[john mostowski]

i cannot get win xp to detect a hp 5300c scanner or any
other scanner
even with an xp driver from hp.i get messages scanner not
found and the like from different programs. does anybody
have an answer or fix for this problem??

Try a different cable. Also, if you can, try some other
device in the same USB port to see if it works.
