Scanner installation

I'm trying to install a new Epson scanner. I've gotten
numerous error messages during the install, such as:

Launch Scan to P.I.M. File installer error - 2147024891
Can't install scan to P.I.M. file

I also got this for the PDA file, Photoprint, EPCopy,
Copy, OCR, Scan to File, Scan to Web, and also this error:

installer error - 2147024891 Can't launch
D:\Titles\EpsonSmartPanel\EPWEB\American\Setup.INX

Anyone know what this is all about?
