still confused

Thanks Chris,
I tried saving from "Save Movie File" The Sve Movie
Wizard tells me: The project contains source files that
are missing or have been modified after import. It says
source files must be found or deleted. It is in same
folder as the movie I am trying to put on DVD. When I
deleted the source movie I whittled down to nearly 1/2
all the graphics are removed from the clips and timline
line of my edits. Not sure what to do. TIA. --mo

Have you deleted the captured video file from the cam? You need to leave
these on the hdd until you have saved the movie.

No, I still have original film on HHD in same folder of
My Videos. The original film is 256 MB and the edited
down version is 3.48 MB. Dosesn't seem possible but that
is what it says and I am playing it through now for last
17,03,92 min. Last night when I read about eliminating
one version, I somehow removed the clips from the
Collection to then try to burn to DVD, but they must
still be in background as the edited project plays.
Haven't figured how to restore them yet, but I appreciate
yr help Graham. --mo
