See if you concur with this diagnosis. I installed a new memory stick, 512
Mg, and immediately began having problems. Spontaneous reboots, unable to
run above 100 MHz FSB, cant boot into Safe Mode,etc. I returned everything
back to the original configuration and still had the same problems.
Installed a new hard drive and O/S Win XP Pro, same problems. I put the
processor (AMD 1800+) 256 MGRam and the other basic hardware onto another
mainboard and still had the same problems, even using different memory. I am
surmising that the processor must have had a bad conflict with the new
memory that I had installed somehow ruined the Processor. Sound right? If
not any other suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help.
