I upgraded my motherboard and then reinstalled XP home,
using the dvd as the boot disk. But once in windows, the
dvd drive disappears. MS knowledge base suggests
deleting the REG_MULTI_SZ UpperFilters. This file is not
present in the registry. MS knowldege base then suggests
uninstalling any drivers in the Device Manager with a ?
mark, and then running Scan Hardware Changes. I have
done all this and the DVD drive is still not recognized.
Any suggestions?
