problems

Hello.
I just got windows xp to replace win98se, but now the
problem I have is that my flat scanner don`t work is
asking to be update but they are not on the WINxp cd.
also my cd-rw is missing files too.
before I install the WINDOW XP everything was working ok.
please I need help.

First off, your scanner may never work in Windows XP. Know that now. Not
all older hardware works with Windows XP. It's not Microsoft's doing.. It's
the fact that the manufacturers decide that that product is "dead" and they
don't support it any longer.

Secondly - you MAY (likely) have to go to the webpage of the manufacturer of
some of your hardware to download drivers for Windows XP. Then you will
have to install these drivers yourself.

Lastly - read my signature. It has ways you can search for these answers
yourself. Pay attention - in particular - to the one concerning Google - as
it will likely be of more assistance to you than any of the others for now.

What you are missing is Windows XP drivers, which are available from the
manufacturer of your hardware!

I have that same problem! with the missing WinXP CD, and
all! plz, tell me if you find a way around it! but i
will suggest to you this: call your manufacturer/service
provider for help... this may solve your problem (if they
let you get past the 'elevator music,' if you know what I
mean...)(also, this does not work for XP users, it's
their policy)
