AMD Athlons used to be better value but now they've been
left behind by Pentium 4 800fsb with Hyperthreading.
Personally I think the 2.4Ghz is excellent value because
it can easily overclock to >3Ghz. Mine runs quite happily
at 2.64Ghz and doesn't even begin to get warm with
standard heatsink\fan. Runs dual channel DDR ram too
which is a bonus.
