Posts Overlooked?

I tried what the post said, but nothing for me, This
problem also is happening for me :(

This mup.sys problem seems to crop up in different areas during the boot
process for different people. I just had a quick look aroung and found this
forum post http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/winxp/t1047532372 which has
a few other peoples problems and some fixes. Watch out for the line wrapping
if you try and go to the site.

May or may not help.

I just wanted to say thanks. That site has some good info
and i am going to try it.

1. going to try and disable mup.sys see if that works.
2. if that doesnt work i will try to get a new processor
and see if that works :)

It is probably not mup.sys that is the problem. That driver is simply the
last one to load the is "echo"ed to the monitor. After that point the OS
hands over control to the higher level (32 bit) drivers which produce the
GUI.

Based on what I understand from reading your post, it may be worth while to
try another video card. Video drivers and video card issues seem to be a
leading cause of the OS not going into GUI mode on start-up.
