For some reason my external hard drives become
unformatted. Re-formatting the drives will erase all the
data within the drives. Does anyone know of a way to
retrieve the information (or some of the info) that was in
the drives?
Thanks

it depends on what's wrong. displaying as unformatted often is a boot sector
corruption problem, fix that and all data is back. still you can not expect
someone to tell 'do this and that to fix a bootsector' ...
