I just built a new system as follows:
Asus A7V8X (via KT400) Motherboard
AMD Athlon XP 2200+
1 gig Micron DDR 400 Memory (2 X 512 MB)
Western Digital 120 gig 8mb 7200 RPM Harddrive
Reused the following out of an older machine:
Nvidia TNT2 64 AGP 16 mb Video
PCTel v.90 Modem
Kworld PCI Video Capture / TV tuner
Generic Floppy
Here is my issue. I did a clean install of Windows XP
Pro when I rebuilt the pc. When I open ANY program
(Photoshop, IE, Acrobat reader, winzip) anything, I get
the following error:
"There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into
drive A:."
I can find no referance to this at all. ANY help would
be appriciated. I did not recieve this error on the old
pc with the same copy of XP and the same floppy drive. I
have updated the chipset drivers, the system bios and
aveything else I can think of. Ideas??
Thanks!
