I've got a problem that is really nagging me.

My modem a zoom V92 external looses the com setting
during boot. When I try connect to the internet I get an
error. If I go to the control pannel my modem does not
show com1, to fix this I click add new modem, let win
detect the modem press next and then press cancel !

Et Volia com1 is back with my modem.

Is there any fix for this I hate this routine of
searching for my modem ?

Thanks,
Derm.

Worked fine under Win98, works fine under Linux, its an
external modem, has to be linux compatible.
The problem is with XP not the modem. How do I fix XP.
