I've installed the Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2
Joystick, but the X-, Y- and Z(rudder)- axis won't work.
All buttons do as does the throttle control. I've tried
the joystick on a Windows 2000 system and it works just
fine - so there is nothing wrong with the joystick. There
is an VIA Patch that I've tried, but it doesn't help.
Please - does anyone has any suggestions?

Mmmmm.... A mixed bag of things to check....

1) Have you updated your DirectX code? 8.1? 9.0a?

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.aspx?url=/windows/directx/downloads/default.htm

2) What version of USB support are you using? 1.1, 2.0?
You might need to enable 2.0 support in your system's BIOS, (repeatedly tap
the delete-key while booting to get to BIOS setup, if you have AMI BIOS).

It may well be that the Win2k box you tried it on, has those updates on
it... but it wouldn't just jump out at you saying so....

Good luck, and please post back with your results,
