Mouse error message

I have a Logitech wireless mouse which works well.
However, every time I boot the Dell Dimension desktop I
get an early message teeling me to instal the mouse into
a USB port or press F1 to continue.

I have no idea why it does this. Does. does anyone have
an idea?
