View Full Version : Capture Date

I'm capturing DV from a Sony Digital Camcorder via
firewire. I want the date the original was recorded to
appear on the captured video. It appears on the screen of
the camcorder as it's captured, but Movie Maker is not
adding it to the finished product. It still manages to
use it to create chapters. Any ideas anyone?
Thanks,
Matt Collins

This is part of the dv signal that firewire can transfer to the pc, but is
not part of the video. Most people will add a "title" showing the date at
the beginning of the video. Otherwise try looking here and scroll down the
page to inserting date and time stamp / time code geneerator.

OK, thanks Graham. That's what I was afraid of, but I just
wanted to make sure there wasn't something I missed.
