dial up connection problems

Had to reinstall windows XP. Went to make a new
connection, the wizard will not let me use the dial up
option, will only let me do a dsl or lan line. I need a
dial up connection. Went into computer manager to start
the telephony, remote access con. manager and remote acct.
auto conn. manager to start them. It will not let me start
either one. I get an error message 5 on the remote acc.
manger and an error 1068 on the acct. auto manger.
Microsoft and Gateway were no help. Any help out there?
