Hello,
I know this post is long and I want to appologize about
it right away.

Does anyone out there know how to stop my mouse from
going to the default screen on popup windows/message
boxes? My mouse won't stop doing this after I did
windows update. I can not figure out which update made
my mouse do this, but I really don't like this feature.
I have asked techs at a Best Buy, have looked on Deja,
and other website with no answer.

It is a IBM mouse on the USB port, HP ze4315us laptop,
Windows XP.

This I have done:

1. Control Panel --> Mouse --> Pointer Options -->
Unchecked Snap-To Default checkbox

2. Looked in the registery under the Local_mahine -->
Control Panel --> Mouse --> SnaptoDefault = 0

3. Looked in TweakUI, but found nothing about snap to.

I have a fresh install of Windows XP and this started
after my windows update. This happened before I re-
installed my windows also and at that time I had
installed an updated version of my mouse driver and that
did not stop it either. I also removed all mouse
information from the hardware and let Windows XP install
it again, and then it still did the snap to.

If anyone knows which update number it is that made my
mouse do this I would really appreciate it if they would
email me an answer. This one feature ruins Windows XP in
my opinion as I have hit save buttons and other security
warning buttons without knowing what they said.

Again, sorry this post was so long, but I believe it was
all needed to give you an idea of what I have
done/looking for.

Thanks, Dustin
