Unmountable Boot Volume

[David Brown]

A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down
to prevent damage to my computer with the following
message:-

UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

I also get the following technival information:-

***stop: 0x000000ED
(0x81f90948,0xc0000032,0x00000000,0x00000000)

Any ideas as i am at a loss for what to do next!!

Power off, open the case and reseat the hard drive IDE ribbon cable at
both ends.
If that fails:

Otherwise go to the website of the hard drive manufacturer and
download their hard drive diagnostics.
