upgrading, my modem was working properly.... after the
upgrading, i jus get this message "there is no dial tone"
everytime i'm trying to connect with my modem. i wonder
what causes this...any solutions? pls? i'm running on P3
800mhz with 96Meg ram. using PCTEL HSP56 micromodem for
my laptop....i really hope someone can help me come up
with a solution. i had tried installing teh latest
drivers from the PCTEL website, checked the cable that it
is working fine. i had no other solutions at hand right

Hello

What you need to do is remove all modem drivers and the modem
from your pc rebbot. Let XP try to find the correct drivers for your
modem or go to their website and get the latest drivers that support
Xp ok.

I think he might find it difficult to go to their website if he can't
dial out. :>

Hello

Have one of your friends to do it for you, or maybe do it at
your office
