Receive BSOD....IRQL_NOT_EQUAL_OR_LESS

When trying to reinstall XP receive BSOD with the
following message: IRQL_NOT_EQUAL_OR_LESS

Thinking it's probably a bad HD???

Memory problem maybe. Run "memtest86" (download
from http://www.memtest86.com) for a few cycles to check
out your memory. You should get zero errors.

After that, you might run a full set of hardware diagnostics.
("diag378.exe", downloadable from ftp://ftp1.dell.com/diags,
after a few complaints, will run on most non-Dell computers.)
You should get zero errors.
