I recently did a fresh install of XP to replace Windows
2000. A D-Link DWL-650 wireless LAN PC card will not
install properly. (It had no problems on Windows 2000.).
The PCI card holder (DWL-500) seems to have installed
without problems. The error message says the DWL-650
cannot access resources. Device Manager shows it is trying
to use IRQ 00, used by the system timer. Manual
configuration to change the IRQ sought will not work
because there is only the option of one manual
configuration, which will not accept a change in IRQ. I
have tried updating XP drivers from D-Link without
success. Any suggestions?
