Receiving Faxes from abroad

Hi all

I have a problem with my local fax device.

I have followed all microsoft configuraton instructions,
and can receive faxes from within the UK.

However, I encounter difficulties when trying to receive
a fax from America, the call connects then I get an error
message saying "An attempt to recieve a fax has failed,
an error occured while receiving the fax".

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Two (well four) questions come to mind:

Do you receive faxes from several locations (or different machines) in the
US? And if so does this happen with all of them?

Do you receive faxes from other countries? And if so does this happen with
them too?
