Slave Hard Drive

How do you set up a slave hard drive for windows xp?
It is working properly in device manager but can not be
seen from "my computer"

Right click on My Computer and select Manage. On the following screen,
select Disk Management. The new drive should now appear on the right hand
side of the screen and you can right click on it, partition and format it if
required and assign it a drive letter.
