how do network two computers to one printer?

I current have an old 800 mhz computer that is running
windows 98 and 2.0 running windows xp. however, i cant
seem to get the newer computer (xp) two run my lexmark x83
printer which is connected to the older computer.

I would like be able to print form the new computer on the
lexmark printer without changing the usb pluge in.

Works with most printers, but Lexmark admits that printing
across platforms (meaning, for example, XP and W9x) is not
supported. Call Lexmark and ask specifically about the
drivers for the X83.

Can you see the printer across the network? If not, right-click on the
printer in control panel/printers and select sharing - make sure it has
sharing enabled.
