ms sidewinder force feedback wheel /pedals

for some reason i cant make this ms sidewinder force
feedback work on my computer , they are both new and i
have the disc, and i loaded it and its imcapable well i
went and down loaded what it needed and still no workie,
please help my husband is getting upset, cant play race
car game with his stearing wheel he got today, thanks,

If the device you got was a gameport device the drivers are already in
WindowsXP.
To use the device do the following:

1. Connect the device to the gameport
2. Start -> Run -> Control Panel
3. Switch to "Classic View".
4. Run the Gaming Options control
5. In Gaming Options Click the "Add..." button.
6. From the list choose "Microsoft SideWinder (Auto Detect)"
7. This should install your device.


If the device is USB then the disk that came with the device will warn you
it may not work correct but that is safe to ignore. Just install anyway and
you should be fine. I think the above gameport instructions will get you on
your way though as your description fits it better than USB issues.
