I have received several error event logs with the
folloiwng messages:
The driver detected a controller error on Device\Harddisk0
\D.
The driver detected a controller error on Device\Harddisk0
\D.
A parity error was detected on \Device\Ide\IdePort0.

I just formatted and did a clean install (XP Home).
Everything went fine and computer has been running
smoothly so far. (But in the past w/ ME it was very
unstable.

Can anyone explain what the cause is and how to correct
it.

Thanks,
Nat
