how do you change the keys configuration

Not much to go on here, but I'll give it a stab. It all depends on what keys
you want to change and what keyboard you are using. Some keyboards come with
software already that allows you to customize what some of the optional keys
can do, others do not. If your keyboard is in the catagory that does not
have software with it to reconfigure the custom keys then you would have to
write an application to do this for you. In short keyboards do nothing more
than send "scan codes" of numbers to the system. It is then up to the
keyboard driver and software to determine what key the scan code turns into.

What kind of keyboard do you have?
