DirectX 0.9, installation halt

Each time i try to install any DirectX programme the
installation halts when it it trying to "copy files", can
anyone offer any advice? Please? I've been told i can
remove DrirectX and re-install it, but the problem is
installing it... What could be wrong?

Do you have enough disk space?
Are you using an account with admin priviledges?
Have you done a chkdsk on C:?
