No System Sounds XP , SoundBlaster Live 5.1

I am unable to play windows system sounds. I have a
SoundBlaster Live 5.1. Sound does play in media and
sound clips. Sounds do not work in Sound Scheme, System
Sounds, Pinball, Flight simulator has some engine sounds
but no voice communication. Thanks for your help....
