Ok, I'm trying to play a DVD on my new DVD+-RW drive. I
put in Resident Evil. It tells me that My device is set
to region 1 and to play the movie, I need to set the
device to region 1.

Ok, so I think, it just needs me to go in and make the
change to move it off the default "Location 0"

No, I tried changing it TWICE and it still won't play.
So, now not only am I down to 3 region changes left
(becuase for some stupid fricken reason it was decided
that you can only change the region 5 times EVER, even
with a windows re-install) I still can't use my DVD
player to watch movies.

Anyone have any idea what gives?

It's possible that you need to download new drivers or FLASH the drive.
I have had to download and flash quite a few new DVD drives.
Check the manufacturers website for more information on this.
WARNING: If you do need o flash the drive make sure there is NO CD in the
drive when you do it or the CD and possibly/probably the drie will be
ruined.
