Hi
I have recently purchased Windows XP Home Edition. There
is a program in the start menu that I don't want to run
on start-up (it's Roxio's CD Creator). I have tried
going in and deselecting it, however I get an error
message to go back to start-up and select "Normal". When
I do this, the program is reselected.

How do I stop this program from starting?

Thank you for your help.

If you go in Start \ All Programs \ Startup \ Roxio CD Creator; right click
and delete, the system configuaration will remain "Normal" and also
disappear from the Startup tab when you check thru msconfig.

The message that you're getting is not an error. Its informing you that you
have disabled one or more startup items, or made other changes to the system
startup. Just check the box to not show it again, and ok your way out.
