Defrag problem

Hi,

Why does my laptop defrag just go to 10% then start again. I have all
my nortons etc off.

It does show a change in colours as it works its way down the screen but
always stays on 10% then starts again.

Is is actually still defraging or just checking?

A background process may be causing it to reset; not unusual. It should,
however, eventually complete.
