Connecting an ETX125 telescope

I am trying to operate a Meade ETX125 telescope,using "Autostar Suite" software and a Lunar Planetary imager. My IBM G40 will not install this device. I suspect there is some kind of com port conflict. Does anyone have experience with this situation? Can y
ou make any suggestions?

Did the Meade telescope come with software? Did you install
the software first?
