View Full Version : norton clobbered my c:\windows\system32\microsoft.exe

If it was an important file, (no idea) just go ahead and
goto Start>run.. type in sfc /scannow and it will restore
your critical files. If microsoft.exe wasn't restored,
then probably just something dropped in.

YEP, you helped. Thanks! (I actually did the sfc /scannow already, but
wasn't sure just how complete it was. It's good to know that you
believe it is).

While using is ok, actually /writing/ free software is a disingenuous
activity. You can afford to write software for free only because of
someone else somewhere actually paying for it. Just say no.
