Problem with Word XP and 2002

I have installed the Windows XP upgrade. Everything
works fine except: When I click on the Word icon, I get
error message 1706 that it cannot find the file for Word
2002, and that I need to put the CD back in and install
it. I then cancel that and then Word Office XP starts up
and everything is fine. What is going on? Thanks.

Sometimes when you upgrade to XP, files needed by software become corrupted
or overwritten. Word is looking for a particular file to reinstall and it
can't find it. MKB has the following article that may explain what is going
