Can't view any thing on my hard disk

Hi,

I have a sony vaio laptop. Recently I am having problems
with it. All the files have disappeared from viewing.

When I click on the hard disk and view properties. i can
see them full but not able to view the contents..

When i usr cntrl+alt+del the taks manger appears and
immedialte disaaper from the screen..

Most programs load and immediately unload.

WHat is the best i can do with it
