I have XP Professional installed on my system. I use
TRACERT and PING commands in tracking system on our LAN.
My old Win 98 system allowed for the F1 and F3 keys to
retype the last command, either 1 letter at a time or the
entire command. My XP systems does not do this. Is there a
way to program the F keys to perform as 98 did?

In Windows XP, use the up arrow key to access previous (multiple) lines.
Use the right arrow to retype, letter by letter, the last command.

That is, the up arrow does what F3 did and the right arrow does what F1 did.
