usb/parallel printer cable

I just bought a usb/parallel printer cable manufactured
by Hawking Technology to use on my Notebook running XP
home edition. When I tried to install the driver that
came with the cable I got an error at the end of the
wizard installation "the installation failed because a
function driver was not specified for this device
instance" and I can't print using this cable.

Any suggestions?
