mouse buttons

Hi, I have a new MS wireless optical mouse it installed
ok but the left and right buttons do not work, unless
they are held down and moved (eg moving a scroll bar). I
tried it under win me and xp but no joy

just womdered if there is a driver/config issue or
whether it is a duff one

Sounds like a defective mouse. Return it.
