Installing WXP Service Pack 1

When I try to download and install Service Pack 1, it
downloads but won't install. It stops and then says to
try again, over and over.

Try installing the update from the Windows Update Catalog: "How to
Download Windows Updates and Drivers from the Windows Update Catalog
on Windows XP" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=323166).
