Installing Problem

I get through the first couple of steps to install XP.
Before installing,set up says it is restarting my PC. The
screen goes to the Windows98 log and says it's shutting
down windows but nothing happens. To get out of
the "shutting down windows" screen I have to turn off the
PC and start again. Thanks. JOhn

Start the Windows XP Setup by booting from the CD or manually from
DOS. You can do an upgrade install on this way as well.
