I have Windows XP installed on an 80 Meg hard drive and I
want to partition it in two. Can I do this and if I can,
will I be able to do it without losing what is already on
the drive? Can anybody help me?

Thank you,
David Vaughan

There no way to do this non-destructively using native Windows
capabilities. It requires a third-pary utility. Partition Magic
is the best-known such product, but there are freeware/shareware
alternatives, such as Boot-It Next Generation.

You would have to use third party partitioning for this unless you wanted to
reinstall clean. The only downside to third party partitioning is that we
as MSFT do not support your partitions in the event of data loss, need for
reconfiguration, etc due to the fact that it isnt our partition manager.
