hi,
i downloaded the windows xp service pack 1 from
microsoft.com and it has corrupted several files on my
computer. the biggest problem i have is that it has
completely disable my audio device. is there any way to
undue the file changes that were created during the
download. note, i have already tried a system restore and
it did not work and i am trying to avoid having to
reinstall windows all over again.
thanks

Mike;
You could uninstall SP1 through Add/Remove Programs.
However the better way would simply to reinstall the drivers.
Reinstalling Windows or uninstalling SP1 is unlikely to solve the
issue.
