We just got a new "E-machine" loaded with Windows XP- we
keep getting a small window that says "Hotkey Keyboard"-
it doesn't do anything, won't close and freezes the whole
system. Can anybody help me?

Thanks!

The problem sounds like it is with the software for the keyboard. XP
provides basic support for multimedia keyboards (usually sound and standby
are supported). To use and/or configure the other fancy keys entails using
the supplemental software for your keyboard.

Things to try:
-Check the emachine website for documentation on the problem
-Reinstall the keyboard's software
-Check the emachine site for an updated version of the software and, if
found, follow their directions for installing it.
