View Full Version : Help: Can't print old Excel or Word files

My sister claims that she can print recently created Word or Excel
files, but her old files(I guess created when she had a different
printer) will not print.
What can she do so that she can print her old documents?

Can she open the old files at all? The print function
should work with any installed printer. Are the files
password protected, perhaps they were saved using a previous
version of the program or were locked. Check properties on
the files.

Thanks Jim:
She can open up the files - she just can't print them.
I do not know if she is using the same version of Excel or Word - I'll
ask.
I take it that locked files cannot be printed?
Thanks again

I'm not sure, but some permission inside the application,
must be the problem.
Look under TOOLS/Options...security
Can she copy and paste into a new file and print that?
